Update November 2014

Hi All

So as of Monday 10\11 I will be starting a new role at work.

I thought i would take this time to take my weightloss to a new level.

As of Tomorrow I will be at the gym after work for 5 days a week (Just 30-45 mins on the treadmill each day)

And also for at least this week, will be on Optifast (3 shakes a day) plus 1X Subway low fat salad (or if not lazy from coles)

IF anyone wishes to join me at the gym, I will be there from about 8:30-9:30 every night this week

4kg more lost... but.....

Hey all,

so as most of you know lately I have been pretty sick, having gastro and then a cold that has given me a residual effect of a bad cough and asthma like symptons (which has put me out of the gym) because any physical activity and I cough like a pack a day smoker.

I have decided that I want to go into my surgery fighting fit (Tho I am on track to lose the weight, I wanted to go in being healthy with the body, not just losing the weight, as a result I have delayed surgery until Feb next year.

The good news is I lost another 4kg.. making it a 16KG loss so far (since Aug) so going to keep on trucking :)

Thanks for reading

The other side of the coin

Everything was going swimmingly.

Roster set.... leave booked, weight getting lost.. and BAM.. in 2 weeks everything is pretty much in tatters.

From starting with a stomach bug.. to the cold \infection I have.. its been a really rough and trying time.

While I have stopped optifast, I certainly haven't been an angel when it comes to food (and lets face it when you are sick you resort to comfort food.. and I have had 2 weeks of that.

How ever am I worried that I may have put on a bit of weight in those 2 weeks? no.. because once I am right again it is back on the horse and continuing I go.. but for now I think I am going to have to face a big reality that I am too sick to have surgery in 8 weeks (as I still need to lose a fair bit of weight) and while I was on track.. sickness has taken over.

I haven't posted anything because theres nothing to actually post.. still stnading at 12kg lost but no weighin for over 2 weeks and I am seeing a weight gain (I know what I have eaten) lol with no excercise.

I am hoping that a weekend of rest will re-charge the batteries, get rid of this cough and chest crap I have so I can start monday fresh, re-energised and ready to get back into it

Go the Hawks!!!!!

And so it continues.....

3Kg lost

This fortnight i lost 3KG... making it a total of 12KG..... Plenty of time to go.
This is just diet change (I have been meaning to start at the gym, but haven't as of yet, that is coming, but I have been super busy)

now the food side of it ....I was pretty good this week.. tho after 20 days, I did have my first.. oopsy moment.

Coming home on the late shift last week... I was hungry and decided to call in and get a chicken salad from McDonald's .. now that would be have been fine and inside of calories except for it was past 11pm and they had a night only menu. I went for the next best thing, which was a mcGrilled burger. It worked out to about 500 calories (more then I would want) but needless to say I face ****** that burger.... it was sooooo goood haha.. but very importantly I havent had a single craving since, and at the end of the day, one treat isn't going to de-rail me.. the Hains train is full steam.

I have been lucky as work have been understanding of my situation and I am currently looking to do the night shift (or stupid late) until my surgery as I have 15 appointments currently booked from now until Nov 23, including 4 that will need to be booked when ive had others.

The final thing in this blog... only 12kg.. but my pants are starting to drop down a bit.... and its not pretty. A few times I have just caught them so I am going to need to buy a belt. While thats good.. its another expense on something thats already building up :)

I also need a GYM buddy who is able to come to the gym (Morning) (9-10am) and do an hour workout with me, at Marion. If your interested inbox me.

12am ... OM NOM FUCKING NOM

So working the late shift... sometimes you can get hungry on the way home from work.. the bodies natrual reaction to winding down.. food, drink and relax.... how ever working late there is not always alot of choice.

Previously coming home (and I know many peers do it) I would call into Hjs or Maccas on the way home, grab something that I could easily eat while driving (fries\ cheese burger etc)  and just eat while driving.

This of course is on top of my food for the day which may have involved said food.

Flash forward to last night.

Driving Home... Hungry.. what ever do I do?

Subway?

Thats getting out of the car.. im tired... pass... ok what else... I know

Got home

And made

A Mixture of Broccoli, Cauliflower and carrot with a no fat dressing..... its not a cheese burger but....
This is what I was thinking of while eating the above.

Just let the above sink in for a moment.
And now you know why the title of this post is OM NOM FUCKING NOM

Cravings Cravings Cravings....

If you had asked me today and put in front of me the above (A hot chip sandwich with butter and tomato sauce) would I kill a man if I got to eat this and didn't have to worry about the calories, Id have ripped the heart out of the person standing there, showed it to them as they died, grabbed the sandwich before they hit the floor and enjoyed the spoils of victory !!!!

Today has been a very hard day.. working the 2-11pm shift really sucks. It means going to the gym before work.. and leaves me flat and uninterested in working, the light at the end of the tunnel is I have a few weeks of earlier starts coming up and can smash it out at the gym

I found some really awesome tomato soup at right price... its made by country ladle and is called rustic tomato. Its high in sugar (22g for a serve) but taste really good and has multiple services of vitamins and is around 250cal for it. Its within the amount of calories even if the sugar is high, and being that im about to start 5km a day walking (was suppose to start today but I just couldnt be f*cked... (Monday and walking gah) I decided today instead to set some life goals, which I have done.

For now.. I will need to just keep dreaming about my chocolate filled pool that I can dive into. Because Post Op although I can enjoy the above, I am training myself now to eat better food, even if its a pasta with veggies.... a few carbs is much better then an ultimate double whopper.. I look forward to making more noodle and Veggie Stir frys... rather then Pizza ...... and Meat with potato and veg, instead of a Calzone and chips...

This pre surgery routine is going to really help me post term and I am looking forward to the future successes it will bring. !!!
